Issue/Introduction

JDBC jar files location for Information Services data source

Environment

All

Resolution

When defining a new data source or enabling any data source template, the vendor-specific JDBC jar file should now be copied to the <installation dir>/tomcat/custom-ext

e.g.steps for installing the Oracle vendor/native driver
  1. Download the database driver from the Oracle website.
  2. Place the driver in the following directory: <installation dir>/tomcat/custom-ext
NOTE:
1)  All the Datadirect drivers(drivers provided by TIBCO) are now saved at <installation dir>/tomcat/spotfire-lib folder

2)It may work if you copy the jar files to the <Spotfire Server>\tomcat\lib, but it is highly recommended to copy to the custom-ext folder
