Resolution
The Apache Kafka adapter suite is built against version 2.1.1 of the Apache Kafka libraries using Scala 2.11.12. The Apache Kafka client libraries offer bidirectional compatibility and support communicating with newer versions of Apache Kafka brokers.
The Kafka adapters have been tested with broker versions 2.1, 2.2, 2.4, 2.6, 2.7, and 2.8.
