Description
The mapping of the well log mnemonics to Petrel template is controlled by the Petrel mapping file in <Petrel installation>\xml\LogNamesToPropertyTypeCatalog.xml. To add mappings of additional mnemonics to Petrel templates, you must modify this file to add more entries.
The attached document explains how to modify the LogNamesToPropertyTypeCatalog.xml.
You should contact Schlumberger Petrel Support for a list of mnemonics to use for the "Property" tag in the LogNamesToPropertyTypeCatalog.xml file.
