All LogLogic appliance can retain raw (i.e. unaltered) and indexed logs each for up to 10 years for indexed and regular expression reports. Depending on your appliance's ingestion rate (megabytes per second) and how well the data is compressed, your appliance may not be able to store the full 10 years on local storage thus requiring archive storage to be utilized for supplementing the local storage. But LogLogic LMI still uses archive storage as online storage so this doesn't impact the availability of searching the data. In effect, LMI uses archive storage as an extension of local storage such that, other than having a different file path, files on archive storage are treated the same as local files.
