Description

This error indicates that the settings updated in the service (Web Player / Automation Services) configuration files are invalid. When manually configuring a Spotfire Web Player / Automation Services instance, the server configuration is exported, updated with the required configurations and imported back into the server. It can then be set as the active configuration for that service and in turn for the instances. For example, if a setting name is misspelled, the service and instance will start up successfully but the instance log (Web Player / Automation Services) will fail to load with the error "No Diagnostic information present for this capability type".

Issue/Introduction

Node Manager instance log fails to load. Error "No Diagnostic information present for this capability type".

Resolution

To resolve this issue, revisit the changes for the exported Web Player / Automation Services configuration and ensure the newly added/updated settings are all valid. Another approach would be to re-export the service configuration (export-service-config), make the changes one at a time, import the configuration, set it as active for the service, and validate that the required settings are in effect. This can be done iteratively until all of the needed settings are in place.
