Description
TIBCO Administrator User Management console requires that Write permission be given to the use/role in order for the user/role members to start/restart/stop/kill services, but Write permission also makes it possible for the use/role members to deploy/undeploy applications as well. How could user/role permissions be configured so that user/role members can start/stop services but cannot deploy/undeploy applications?

Resolution
User permissions could be configured so that service startup/shutdown could be decoupled from application deployment as follows:
1. Go to the user/role Permissions tab.
2. Expand TIBCO Administrator -> Application Management -> <application_name> -> Management Consoles -> Process Archive.
3. Give the user/role only Read permission to the <application> and Read plus Write permissions to the application’s Process Archive.
