Description

The first time you start your Scribe Workbench you are asked to register TIBCO Scribe® Insight. You can register either online via the Internet or offline. Make sure you have your TIBCO Scribe® Insight serial number available.

Register Online

This option requires an Internet connection.
  1. Start the Scribe Workbench. The Registration Wizard launches.
  2. Choose Register online and click Next.

  1. Enter the Scribe serial number provided when you purchased the product in the Serial Number field and click Next.
NOTE: If you downloaded TIBCO Scribe® Insight from the TIBCO eDelivery Site, a serial number is generated for you and is included in the download inside a License Key file.

  1. Continue through the registration wizard entering the required information.
  2. When you reach the Product Unlock Status dialog, it should say Product Unlocked at the top. This indicates that your product is fully registered. Click Next to continue.

Register Offline

Use the Register Offline option when you do not have Internet Access.
  1. Start the Scribe Workbench. The Registration Wizard launches.
  2. Choose Register offline.

  1. Click Next.  The Offline Registration dialog displays and includes the URL for the registration web page:

  1. Enter the URL shown above, http://registration.scribesoftware.com/RegPage/ScribeReg.aspx, in a Browser on a computer with an Internet connection to navigate to the TIBCO Scribe Product Registration page.
  2. Use the highlighted information in the block above to enter the Version, System Key, and Serial Number and click Register.An email is sent to you with an XML file.

  1. Save the XML file attached to the registration email to a folder on the computer where the Scribe Workbench is installed. This file is used later in the Registration process.
  2. Click Back and select Manually enter registration unlock codes from offline registration.

  1. Click Next. The Manually Unlock Product dialog displays.
  2. Click Use registration file.
  3. Navigate to the XML file you received from TIBCO Scribe and open it.

  1. The product is fully registered.Click Next.
NOTE: Unlock codes are not required for any of the installed Adapters.
