Issue: Customers might experience the error below while installing the TIBCO Scribe Online on-premise agent. Error: Could not download file: The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel
Cause: The issue is that the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable could not be downloaded and installed while running the TIBCO Scribe Online agent installer.
Resolution
1. Download the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable versions (X86 & X64) from Microsoft, referenced in the link below. 2. Install both versions (X86 & X64) of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable. 3. Download the TIBCO Scribe Online agent installer and run the installer. 4. When the agent installation has been completed, open Windows Services and stop the TIBCO Scribe Online agent service 'Scribe Online Agent'. 5. Configure the TIBCO Scribe Online agent service to run using a domain/service account. 6. Navigate to 'C:\Program Files (x86)' and right-click on the Scribe Software folder > Properties > Security. Add the same user that was configured to run the TIBCO Scribe Online agent service and grant Full control access to that user. 7. Open Windows Services and start the TIBCO Scribe Online agent service 'Scribe Online Agent'.
