Description
We would like to run TIBCO Streaming on a system with an operating system, integration, or Java version different from those listed here:
TIBCO Streaming > Installation Guide > Supported Configurations
What support can we expect if we encounter problems?
Resolution
You may ask us to support your environment by submitting the request to
TIBCO Ideas (
https://ideas.tibco.com). The Ideas site requests your email address in order to show you status of your previously submitted ideas. The Product Manager sees all ideas, and you will get feedback on the status of the request the next time you sign in.
The Support policy is that you or we first reproduce any problem in a supported environment.
- If the problem DOES NOT REPRODUCE in a supported environment then the fix is to move to a supported environment.
- If the problem IS REPEATABLE in a supported environment, we will fix the issue in that environment.
We hope any fix provided also applies and fixes the issue in your unsupported environment.
Fixes are generally delivered for the latest release and may be made available to previous releases as TIBCO Engineering permits.
For example, you may use an unsupported JDK, as configured following the instructions from here:
TIBCO Streaming > Installation Guide > Installing a JDKwith Operating System environment settings:
STREAMBASE_USE_INTERNAL_JDK=false
JAVA_HOME={full path to your preferred JDK directory}
If a problem occurs we ask you to first confirm the issue is not fixed on a supported Oracle Java JDK.
Issue/Introduction
The support practice is to reproduce and troubleshoot the issue in a supported environment.
