How to resolve SDMS error : Authentication failed. HRESULT:80131501. Description: SOAP Server application Faulted. SDMS Error Information HRESULT:80040500. Description : The password is expired?

Resolution

Cause: The admin password for SDMS has likely expired.

Resolution:

1. Remote into SDMS Server and launch the application named "SDMS Administration". Click on Login.

2. Type the admin credentials.  Click OK.

3. Type the old password and new password for admin . Ensure the new password is at least 6 characters long. Click OK.

4. Login as a user with system Administrator (SADM) permissions in Enterprise Manager and expand System Options>> SDMS Integration and update Fallback authentication password for SDMS.

5. Commit the change and proceed working in Enterprise Manager.
