SPO process displays as STARTING state but then goes to SHUTTING DOWN state
Environment
TIBCO iProcess Engine (Oracle) 11.6.0 +HF 02
Resolution
SPO Server log (SWEntObjSv01.log) contains the errors: 24728|06B5C|02/09/2018 09:34:39.251|00000002|ERROR|find_udp_port_num: UDP service (staffware-udp) not found error (11004) 24728|06B60|02/09/2018 09:34:39.252|00000004|ERROR|find_tcp_port_num: TCP service (staffware-tcp) not found error (11004)
The SPO server is configured to use “staffware-udp” and “staffware-tcp” however there are no services with these names in the services file.
UNIX platform the services file is /etc/services Windows platform the services files is C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\services
The resolution is to either: 1. Add the missing entries to the services file or 2. Update the SPP server configuration to use existing entries that are in the services file
Restart the SPO server(s) after resolving the above, e.g. swsvrmgr START 1 SPO
