Status Code: DUPLICATE_VALUE || Error: Duplicate external id specified: XYZ field = ABC field

Issue/Introduction
Use this article to troubleshoot the following error:
Status Code: DUPLICATE_VALUE || Error: Duplicate external id specified: XYZ field = ABC field
Resolution
This error can occur when you are trying to upsert data to a target entity with more than one record with the same external ID. If you are using the Upsert operation to a Salesforce target, make sure that all external ID fields are unique.You may also receive this error if you are using Batch Processing and your source data contains more than one record with the same external ID within a single batch.
