Issue/Introduction

Salesforce ODBC Data Provider configuration error - "Could not connect. Incorrect username or password."

Environment

All Supported Operating Systems

Resolution

1) Check whether the specified Username and Password is correct for the Salesforce account.
2) If you have saved the "Security Token" inside the ODBC Driver Setup, then enter only Username and Password while configuring the ODBC Data Provider in Spotfire.
3) If the "Saved Security Token" check box is not checked inside the ODBC Driver Setup, then enter the Username and Password along with the Security Token, while configuring the ODBC Data Provider in Spotfire.

Note -  If you are not sure whether the "Security Token" used is correct, login to the Salesforce account, expand the "Personal" section, and click on "Reset My Security Token".
