Description

Defect 25995 was discovered after the release of Insight 7.9.2 and was fixed by a hot fix. This hot fix is included in the 7.9.3 release of TIBCO Scribe® Insight. If you installed Insight 7.9.2 and encountered the issue described below, either download and install the attached hotfix per the instructions in the .zip file or upgrade to version 7.9.3 or higher of TIBCO Scribe® Insight. 

The hotfix and TIBCO Scribe® Insight7.9.3 both resolve the issue of not being able to connect to a system because of a TLS/SSL error.

When setting up a connection and clicking OK, you receive the following error:

TIBCO Scribe® Insight was requiring TLS 1.2 to be enabled. On systems where TLS 1.2 is not enabled, Insight was not falling back to use TLS 1.1 or 1.0.


NOTE: Some Windows Operating Systems do not support TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2.  See this Microsoft Blog post for additional details: Support For SSL/TSL Protocols On Windows.
