Description
The error shown below can occur in either TIBCO Scribe® Online or TIBCO Scribe® Insight when testing a connection to Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
Error:
Verify that you have entered the correct credentials to the target Microsoft CRM Dynamics URL and Organization. Also check to be sure system time for the Scribe Online Agent is current.
The following exception message was returned from the Dynamics CRM Connector:
The security timestamp is invalid because its creation time ('2015-07-02T15:53:22.000Z') is in the future. Current time is '2015-07-02T15:48:20.981Z' and allowed clock skew is '00:05:00'.
The error 'the security timestamp is invalid because its creation time is in the future' usually occurs when there is a difference between the system time on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server and the time on the client machine where the TIBCO Scribe® Online Agent is installed. Dynamics CRM does not allow the times between the two servers to differ by more than 5 minutes.
If you are using TIBCO Scribe® Insight, the error occurs when the system time on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server differs by more than five minutes from one of the following TIBCO Scribe® Insight server combinations:

Security Timestamp Invalid Error is returned from Dynamics CRM when testing a Connection.
Resolution
Verify that the TIBCO Scribe® server and the Dynamics CRM Online server have a time difference of less than five minutes. If they do differ by more than five minutes, adjust the system time on the appropriate TIBCO Scribe® server by the difference shown in the error message so that it matches the Dynamics CRM server as closely as possible. Possible TIBCO Scribe® Servers include:
- Server running the TIBCO Scribe® Online Agent
- Server running the TIBCO Scribe® Insight Workbench.
- Server running the TIBCO Scribe® Insight services.
