A user is trying to run an analysis and encounters a sharing violation: "Encountered a sharing violation while accessing a Statistica spreadsheet. However, other users can run this analysis without issue. What are the steps to fix this?
Cause: Either a Statistica session is hanging or a Citrix session is hanging. This list is not exhaustive.
RESOLUTION 1
Check Windows Task Manager (click on Start | Run... and type in taskmgr.exe to launch) to see if a Statistica session is hanging(statist.exe) as the spreadsheet may be left open by a hanging Statistica session. If so, end the Statistica session in Task Manager.
RESOLUTION 2
Or maybe the Citrix session is hanging with Statistica. If so please terminate or kill the Citrix session and then have the user in question try again.
