Description

Sometimes, synchronizing an AD group which contains a particular user does not let that user access Spotfire. When this happens, the server log may show the following error:

=====
ERROR 2014-05-05T19:10:39,305-0300 [*LdapSynchronizer.SynchronizerCallback*] userdir.ldap.LdapProvider: Found no users: review the settings for the LDAP configuration Ldap
=====

This can happen if the user was originally created in a different OU group that has not been synchronized with the Spotfire Server LDAP configuration, then later added to the OU group which has been synchronized.

Issue/Introduction

Some users unable to login to Spotfire after synchronization of an AD group they are in, with "Found no users" error in server log.

Environment

All supported environments

Resolution

In such a case, the entire DC should be linked. The OUs that these users are a part of can then be set within the group synchronization section, within the LDAP configuration.
