Description

Spotfire "Action logs"  collects information about the user activity. When "Enable Web Service" is set to "Yes" and all  "_wp" (Eg:auth_wp,library_wp ...) action categories are enabled in the action log configuration, user actions on Web Player will be logged to Spotfire Action logs.

Issue/Introduction

Why Web Player actions aren't getting logged in Spotfire Action log with Web Service and all "_wp" categories enabled ?

Environment

All Supported Environments

Resolution

One of the reasons why these actions aren't logged in the action logging database is if the updated Spotfire Server Configuration isn't saved to the Spotfire Database. Ensure that the updated configuration is saved (with Web Player logging enabled) to the Spotfire Database followed by a restart of Spotfire Server and Spotfire Node Manager Server services.
