Issue/Introduction

This article explains what each license feature, the four alpha characters as displayed in the Statistica license file, stat.lic, actually mean. License features are listed by group.

GROUPED LICENSING (Applied to network licensing using a license manager only)
 
Many of the typical analysis features are licensed by group.  This means that is any user checks out a license from a particular group, they also check out all of the corresponding features in the rest of the group.    At this time there are four licensing groups:

Important Note:    Any features that are not grouped, may depend on features that are part of a group.  If this is the case, the the non-grouped feature is checked out along with the all features in the group.  For example, data miner depends on features in the AGAY group, so when it is used, both the DMNX feature is checked out along with one AGAY group license.
