Caused by: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Unable to construct a directory: C:\Program Files\TIBCO\statsvcs75\TERR\data\requests\711


There can be other symptoms as well. If Spotfire Statistics Services (TSSS) has been running for a long time and suddenly does not work any longer it can be because the server fails to remove files on disk or the h2 database has filled up with too much information. The server may become gradually slower or just stop to work. Then a manual cleaning can help.

Resolution

1. Stop TIBCO Spotfire Statistics Services
2. Delete <tsss install dir>/h2/*
3. Delete <tsss install dir>/data/artifacts/spotfire/*.sbdf
4. Delete <tsss install dir>/data/requests/*
5. Verify that the file permissions are set correctly for all file in the installation folder. Give full read/write permission to files in the installation path for the user running the TSSS service
6. Start the server
