The Pluribus Networks F64 switch has 4 fan modules in the front. F64 can function normally with one fan module operating, and these fan modules are hot-swap capable. If you are looking at the switch from front, fan1 is the left most one and fan2 is next to that etc.
The red failure LED in the front of the switch indicates fan module health. Green indicates normal operation and amber indicates a fan failure.

Steps to replace faulty Fan unit in EMSA

Resolution
Removing a Fan module: - Before removing a fan module, make sure to keep hands and fingers away from the spinning fan blades. - Remove the bezel by turning the screws counter clockwise using appropriate screwdriver (or fingers) - Loosen the captive screws on the fan module by turning them counter clockwise using appropriate screwdriver(or fingers). - Grab the handle of the fan module and pull it outward - Pull the module completely out of the chassis
Installing a Fan module:
- Hold the fan module with its handle extending towards you - Place the fan module into the front chassis fan slot so it rests on the chassis, and push the module into the chassis as far as it can go until the handle bracket makes contact with the chassis into the bottom corners. Tighten the captive screws with appropriate screwdriver(or fingers). - If the switch is powered ON, listen for the installed fan to spin up. You should immediately hear it operating. If not, please ensure that the fan module is inserted completely in the chassis and that it is inline with the other fan modules on the chassis. - Verify that the status LED (STAT) is green. - Put the bezel back in place and tighten the screws on both ends. - Execute 'switch-info-show ' from CLI and verify the fan is installed properly and its status is 'ok', see sample output below.
CLI > support-enable CLI > call-nvos CLI (network-admin@F64) > switch-info-show - - - - - - - - - - - - fan1-status: ok fan2-status: ok fan3-status: ok fan4-status: ok
Note: - Airflow enters the chassis through the bezel and fan modules and exhausts through the other end of the chassis. - Ensure that switch is positioned such that it takes air from a cold aisle and exhausts to a hot aisle. The end of the chassis with the bezel and fan modules must be positioned in a cold aisle.
