On January 31, 2021, TIBCO is officially ending support for version 10.6 and prior versions of the TIBCO Spotfire product family. This includes the following products:

• TIBCO Analytics
• TIBCO Analytics Business Author Add-On
• TIBCO Analytics Consumer Add-On
• TIBCO Spotfire Automation Services
• TIBCO Spotfire Analyst
• TIBCO Spotfire Business Author
• TIBCO Spotfire Consumer
• TIBCO Spotfire Desktop
• TIBCO Spotfire Desktop Developer Edition
• TIBCO Spotfire Developer
• TIBCO Spotfire Qualification
• TIBCO Spotfire Server

Note:

• The current LTS versions -  7.11 and 10.3 - are not affected by this announcement.
• Still using version 7.11 LTS? Note that hotfixes and service packs will only be provided for this version until the end of May 2020, as the latest LTS version (10.3) will have been available for 12 months at that time. For more information about LTS version support, please refer to https://docs.tibco.com/pub/spotfire/general/LTS/spotfire_LTS_releases.htm

This action will take effect on January 31, 2021. The purpose of this notification is to officially communicate this policy and request that you upgrade as soon as possible to a supported release of the product.
 
During the next 12 months, Support will answer product questions, but no new defect corrections, in the form of hotfixes or service packs, will be provided.

Cases on the releases being retired will no longer be accepted after January 31, 2021. Cases under investigation for the releases being retired will be closed as of the retirement date, January 31, 2021.

Check the TIBCO Product Download Site (https://edelivery.tibco.com) for the most recent release when planning your upgrade. Note: Starting with version 7.11, some release versions of TIBCO Spotfire products are designated as Long Term Support (LTS) versions. Please refer to the following page for more information about LTS releases: https://docs.tibco.com/pub/spotfire/general/LTS/spotfire_LTS_releases.htm. As part of your upgrade planning, please make sure to determine what type of release - LTS or Mainstream (non-LTS) - best suits your needs.

TIBCO Support Knowledge Base articles will continue to be available from the TIBCO Support Portal (https://support.tibco.com), where existing hotfixes will also continue to be available to all customers beyond the retirement date.

To ensure that you receive future retirement notices, make sure to subscribe to them in the TIBCO Support Portal, in the following way:

1. Login to the TIBCO Support Portal (https://support.tibco.com)
2. In the upper right corner, under the menu item with your name, select "Product Interests and Knowledge Base Subscriptions"
3. In the Subscription section, select the TIBCO products of interest to you
4. In the Configure Subscriptions section, select the types of notifications you want to receive.
