On December 31, 2018, TIBCO is officially ending support for release 7.6 and prior versions of the TIBCO Spotfire product family. This includes the following products:
  • TIBCO Analytics
  • TIBCO Analytics Business Author Add-On
  • TIBCO Analytics Consumer Add-On
  • TIBCO Spotfire Analyst
  • TIBCO Spotfire Automation Services
  • TIBCO Spotfire Business Author
  • TIBCO Spotfire Consumer
  • TIBCO Spotfire Desktop
  • TIBCO Spotfire Desktop Developer Edition
  • TIBCO Spotfire Developer
  • TIBCO Spotfire Qualification
  • TIBCO Spotfire Server
This also includes release 4.1.1 and prior versions of the following product
  • TIBCO Enterprise Runtime for R
 
Note: TIBCO Spotfire Statistics Services version 7.5 is not affected since this is the most current release of that product for use with Spotfire versions 7.7 to 7.10.
 
This action will take effect on December 31, 2018. The purpose of this notification is to officially communicate this policy and request that you upgrade, as soon as possible, to a supported release of the product. Check the TIBCO Product Download Site (https://edelivery.tibco.com) for the most recent release when planning your upgrade.

Note: Starting with version 7.11, some release versions of TIBCO Spotfire products are designated as Long Term Support (LTS) versions. LTS versions are typically supported for up to 36 months from release. Defect corrections will typically be delivered as hotfixes or service packs to the most current version and to one or more LTS versions. Please refer to the following page for more information about LTS releases: https://docs.tibco.com/emp/spotfire/general/LTS/spotfire_LTS_releases.htm. As part of your upgrade planning, please make sure to determine what type of release - LTS or regular - best suits your needs.  

During the next 12 months, Support will answer product questions, but no new defect corrections, in the form of hotfixes or service packs, will be provided.

Cases on the releases being retired will no longer be accepted after December 31, 2018.

Cases under investigation for the releases being retired will be closed as of the retirement date, December 31, 2018.

TIBCO Support Knowledge Base articles will continue to be available from the TIBCO Support Portal (https://support.tibco.com), where existing hotfixes will also continue to be available to all customers beyond the retirement date.
