Description

“Manage Scripts” functionality was removed beginning with Systinet 4.10. This means that from Systinet 4.10 onward you cannot create a script to run as an automatic action on a lifecycle stage.
 

Issue/Introduction

“Manage Scripts” functionality was removed beginning witn Systinet 4.10. The repository file JS_for_LFC_action.zip has been provided to restore the functionality.

Environment

Systinet 4.10 and above Systinet 10.x and above All platforms and databases types.

Resolution

HP has provided a repository update to provide the functionality to create and run a Java script as an automatic action. The repository archive file JS_for_LFC_action.zip is attached to this KB.
 
Installation instructions
1). Login to Systinet as admin.
2). Select the option “Repository Archive” in the Catalog screen.
3). Browse to the location of the file “JS_for_LFC_action.zip“ and select “Import”.

The repository archive will be loaded and imported into Systinet.
 
Create a Java script for an automatic action
1). Edit the Lifecycle process.
2). Go to the Lifecycle stage.
3) Select “Add Automatic Action”.
4). Select “Execute Script” from the drop down list.
5). The automatic action dialogue box is displayed.
6). Set the “Apply When” to the appropriate setting.
7). Set Script to “LFC Java Script”.

8). Click on the advanced tab and insert the Java script code in the pane.

9). Select “OK” the script is now configured.
