Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - TIBCO Cloud Integration Platform Upgrade
NOTE: This FAQ is only applicable for TIBCO Cloud Integration - Integrate ( Businessworks ) and TIBCO Cloud Integration - Develop ( Flogo )
Q1: Is there any impact on Scribe apps?
Answer: There is no impact on Scribe apps at all.
Q2: Do Scribe Integration customers need to whitelist the new IPs or are those just for Flogo/BW customers?
Answer: This is only for Flogo/BW/NodeJS apps.
Q3:Can you please tell us more about the new TCI IP addresses and the TCI endpoint domain change? Do we have to update this in the existing applications or only for new integrations? Also, what would be the impact on the existing and new applications?
Answer: Starting in January 2022, any NEW subscription was created in the new infrastructure and has been using these IPs. You can see them in the Release notes here. Currently, these only affect new apps pushed once the Coexistence mode is enabled for your org. At a later date, we will migrate ALL apps to the new infrastructure, and at that time, ALL traffic will communicate via those IP addresses.
Q4: After P1, If the existing apps are re-pushed, will that change the appID or the endpoint urls for those applications?
Answer: No, only a newly created app will be pushed to the new infrastructure
Q5: Can we delay the Upgrade for some customers if they simultaneously have new critical TCI deployments?
Answer: Yes; please follow up with your Customer Success Manager.
Q6: Do customers need to perform something before and after the platform upgrade?
Answer: No, this upgrade happens behind the scenes entirely.
Q7: Customers are asking for estimated timelines (month) when this release will be deployed in the Europe region. This will help customers to arrange their resources. Currently, the scheduled release is announced only for US regions ( EAST, WEST).https://status.cloud.tibco.com/incidents/9rmxj2dx8k4
Answer: The AU and EU regions will be done over the next two weeks (the status page has been updated).
The US region customers' tentative timelines for September (disclaimer timelines are subject to change, please watch the status page)
Q8: Does this whitelisting page already contain the new IPs for the EU-Ireland Region TCI Kubernetes infrastructure? We are receiving feedback from the development community that these IPs are of the current back end.
Answer: Yes, but see previous release notes for the new range that was introduced. You can find the superset of the IP range in TCI Docs.
Q9: For TIBCO Cloud APIM using MESH endpoints, do we need to reconfigure every app endpoint manually?
Answer: NO, as we support backward compatibility.
