Description
After applying the 'TIB_tdv_server_8.3.0_all.zip' patch file over your existing Windows-based v8.2 (or v8.1 or v8.0) TIBCO Data Virtualization (TDV) installation, the subsequent execution of the \bin\cis_upgrade_patch.bat would normally restart the service automatically.
Instead, you see a "System error 5" as in this snippet example below at the tail end of the output. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "C:\Program Files\TIBCO\TDV Server 8.2"\apps\jdbc\lib\csjdbc7.jar was moved or doesn't exist "C:\Program Files\TIBCO\TDV Server 8.2"\apps\jdbc\lib\cscommon17.jar was moved or doesn't exist 1 file(s) moved. 1 file(s) moved.
"Starting TDV Monitor Daemon process..." System error 5 has occurred.
Access is denied.
C:\Program Files\TIBCO\TDV Server 8.2> --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This error indicates that you were not running the cmd session with Windows administrator rights.

You will need to manually start your TDV service now in your usual manner. Afterwards, verify the TDV service is listening, by logging with your browser manager or the Studio.
Note: This issue will not affect Linux-based TDV installations.
