TIBCO Kabira Adapter Factory for Persistence 5.8.3

Description

The aim of this article is to provide the support of an ORACLE 19c database using to TIBCO Kabira PAF 5.8.3 with restricted functionalities.

Currently within TIBCO Kabira Adapter Factory for Persistence (PAF)  5.8.3 there is 2 ways to connect to an Oracle database using:
-Oracle OCI libraries delivered within Oracle database client,
-Progress/DataDirect ODBC 6.0 driver.

The Progress/DataDirect ODBC 6.0 driver is not compliant within an Oracle 19c database thus the support to an Oracle 19c is not possible and is not covered by this article.

To support an Oracle 19C database using TIBCO Kabira PAF 5.8.3, you need to use :
1) a Red Hat Linux server 6.10 x86 64 bits,
2) an Oracle client 11.2.0.4 that points to your ORACLE_HOME,
3) Configured the TIBCO PAF to use the OCI libraries.(see Oracle OCI section from pafguide.pdf)

All the other Oracle clients above 11.2.0.4 are not supported for instance Oracle 19c client is not supported due to some RHEL version restrictions.

Due to RHEL operating system backward compatibility, we allow the customer to run on RHEL 7 for Oracle client 11.2.04 only. In case of any issues encountered, a recreation model will be asked on the supported RHEL version that is RHEL 6.10 for TIBCO PAF 5.8.3 with an Oracle 11.2.0.4.
