Description

LogLogic Log Management Intelligence' (LMI) remote servers page lets users configure various settings that correspond to different functions. SMTP settings are one among them. For username and password length in the UI, there is a limitation of 32 characters length. This is usually not an issue unless users are compelled to use passwords that are not controlled by manual creation such as when passwords are created by automated tools. One such example is using SMTP server with AWS for which the userID and Password is provided by AWS. The credentials provided by AWS cannot be changed and the password does exceed 32 characters.

In such cases, when the password is input into the field, the UI errors out with the following message:

This is a known limitation in LMI as of latest version 6.2.1. This will be addressed in a future release to continue support for auto-generated token-based passwords that can vary in length.
