Issue/Introduction

An existing GP Publisher stops working with an unexpected error occurred. Dynamics GP Publisher

Environment

TIBCO Scribe® Insight

Resolution

Troubleshooting a previously working publisher that is now receiving errors referencing The Error in PollLogTable(), and Error in QueryLogTable(), and the System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException

- Has anything recently changed in the environment such as a Server move, or upgrade?
- If GP was upgraded recently - verify that the correct GP metadata scripts have been run against the GP company database
- If a server move took place - verify all connections are pointing to the correct endpoints and servers
- Verify the connections are using a user with sufficient access and permissions
- Try creating a new test publisher to GP using one entity - does the same issue occur? If so then it may be a issue with the publisher, platform, or communication.
- To ensure the platform and publisher are in good condition run a repair on Scribe Insight and uninstall and reinstall the publisher. Keep in mind that running a repair on Insight will remove any hot fixes that have been applied. All hot fixes will need to be reapplied after the repair is complete. Proper steps to perform are listed below.
  • Pause all integrations and publishers
  • Stop the 5 Scribe services
  • Navigate to windows "programs and features"
  • Locate TIBCO Scribe® Insight, select it and choose uninstall
  • The TIBCO Scribe® Insight Setup Wizard appears, Click next
  • Choose the "Repair" option and click next
  • On the Ready to Repair screen click Install
  • Click "Finish" when done
Uninstall and Reinstall the GP adapter
  • Navigate to the TIBCO Scribe® Insight installation media to find the Setup.exe and launch the executable
  • On the TIBCO Scribe® Insight Setup screen place a check next to Insight Adapters and click "Start Installation"
  • On the Adapter Installation screen uncheck the "Scribe® Adapter for Microsoft Dynamics GP" and Click "OK"
  • The GP adapter at this point will be uninstalled, once finished you will be back on the TIBCO Scribe® Insight Setup screen
  • Ensure there is still a check in the Insight Adapters box and click "Start Installation" again
  • On the Adapter Installation screen check the box next to the "Scribe® Adapter for Microsoft Dynamics GP" and Click "OK"
  • On the GP Adapter Setup Wizard click "Next" and then "Install" to install the GP Adapter
  • Click "Finish" when the installation is complete and then "Exit" out on the TIBCO Scribe® Insight Setup
  • Start the 5 Scribe Services and verify the workbench opens and GP adapter is available
  • Open the Scribe Console and set the GP Publisher to "Active" and test to see if it is now working
