Description

When installing a new TIBCO Scribe® Online on-premise Agent, a popup error similar to the one below may occur during the installation process.

Resolution

If the machine you install the Agent on is behind a proxy or firewall, this popup message will occur since the Agent cannot connect with the cloud.

To resolve this issue during a new on-premise Agent installation, select the "OK" button to allow the Agent to install partially. Once installed, use the below help guide to configure the Agent to navigate through the proxy or firewall before trying to start the Agents service.

Installing A Connect On-Premise Agent With Proxy Servers Or Firewalls

If the machine the Agent is being installed on is not behind a proxy or firewall but has had any recent updates, this popup may also occur. In this case, restart the machine and proceed with the Agent installation process again.
