If you have forgotten your password and need to request to reset your TIBCO Scribe Online account password the steps below should be followed.

This article applies to TIBCO Scribe Online, where the login address is https://app.scribesoft.com. This article does not apply to TIBCO Cloud Integration.

Explanation of the steps to take when requesting to reset your password for TIBCO Scribe Online Standalone

Resolution

Note: There is a security rule in place that will lock your account after repeated attempts are made to log in with an invalid password. Once this happens, you will need to wait for your account to be unlocked.
  1. Once you have determined that you have forgotten your password, on the TIBCO Scribe Online login screen (https://app.scribesoft.com), click Forgot your password?.
  2. On the Forgot your Password page, enter the email address you used to create your TIBCO Scribe Online account and click Change Password.
  3. You will receive an email containing a link that can be used to reset your password. Depending on your email system and settings, these messages may end up in a spam or junk folder. Ensure you check these folders as well as your inbox. It is not uncommon for these email messages to take a few extra minutes to be delivered, so if you do not receive an email right away wait at least 30 minutes before continuing to the next step.
  4. If you still have not received the password reset email after 30 minutes, navigate to https://support.tibco.com where you can create a case and a TIBCO Scribe Support Engineer will be happy to assist further.
