Description

By using the Spotfire Data Connection Node,  you could import a data file into a Statistica workspace from a Spotfire Library.
The types of data file include: Information Link(IL), Data Connections(DC) and Spotfire Binary Data File(SBDF).

Note: The Data Connection node can not open a DXP file nor can import a folder.

This article gives an example of the correct format of the Spotfire Server name and the library path in the node.

Issue/Introduction

This article gives an example of the correct format of the server name and library path in the Spotfire Data Connection Node.

Resolution

As the below screenshot shows:

1. The Spotfire Server name. For instance: http://xxxx.domainname.com:9721
Note: If the Spotfire Server is configured with the default port (which is port 80), then specifying the port number in the URL is unnecessary.

2. The library path is specified as: /folder name/data name. For instance: /Example/World Bank Data

If the Spotfire Server name is entered as "http://xxxx.domainname.com:9721/Spotfire", running the node will throw an error of "Error in node 'Spotfire Data Connection' Access Denied".
