1) “Admin” can mean membership in the Administrator group in Enterprise Manager, shown below:
Members of the Administrator group can do anything in STATISTICA Enterprise.
2) “Admin” can also refer to the license that is consumed when running Enterprise Manager. These licenses are shown as “EMGR” in the Concurrent License Manager UI, as shown below:
A user can have permission to run Enterprise Manager, and consume an EMGR license, i.e. an Admin license, without being a member of the Administrators group in Enterprise Manager.
For example, the user Waldo below:
is not a member of the Administrators group, but he does have Analysis Admin (AADM) permissions (among other things). So he can run Enterprise Manager, which is necessary to create Analysis Configurations. When he opens Enterprise Manager, with his permissions as shown above, what he sees will be limited to the types of objects for which he has permissions, as shown below:
Notice he does not see the User Administration or System options nodes. That is because he is not a member of the Administrators group. However, when Waldo runs Enterprise Manager, he is consuming an EMGR license, i.e. an Admin license.
