Resolution:
Description: When logging in from a PC client to an InConcert server with the RepServer running in Authenticaiton mode the user gets the above error. This error has nothing to do with either the TIBCO InConcert or TIBCO Rendezvous license keys.
This error happens when the PC clock differs by puls or minus 10 or more minutes from the time on the server based on Time Zone. Beside time make sure Date, AM/PM settings and Daylight Savings/Standard settings are correct.
It also happens when the Time Zone is not set on the PC client. On Win 95 clients this will have to be set in the Autoexec.bat, ie 'SET TZ=EST5EDT'. Set it to the correct value for your region. NOTE in Win 95 you can have the correct setting in the Control Panel but the setting in autoexec.bat will override that.
For NT you may have to add a TZ system environment variable in Control Panel>System>Enironment or just setting Time Zone in Control Panel>Date Time may suffice.
NOTE: Client and server can be in DIFFERENT Time Zones you just have to set the time right for that Time Zone.
To eliminate the security feature of comparing time you need to run the Rep Server in Basic mode. In version 6.1 of InConcert the allowable difference has been increase to about 1 hour.
