Resolution:
To start the name server (obnamsrv) in an IIOP-only mode, you should specify the -iiop OR -IIOP option on the command line. The name server then reads off the machine name and uses the default port unless another port number is explicitly supplied, via the -port option. TIB/IOP-only mode is not supported. After a lot of discussion, we felt it necessary to have only two modes TIB/IOP IIOP IIOP-only.
