Description
Resolution: - All adapters built with SDK 3.0.x using the provided repository client 3.0 library/jar will work with Repository server 3.1.0 and Repository server 3.2.3.
- All adapters built with SDK 3.2.x using the provided repository client 3.2 library/jar will work with Repository servers 3.2.2 and 3.2.3.
- We have done extensive testing with the Repository 3.2.3 server to insure that it is compatible with applications built against all versions 3 repository clients and similarly, that 3.2.3 repository clients are compatible with all GA versions of the repository server.
- Similar testing was done on Repository 3.2.2. Unfortunately, Repository versions 3.2.0 and 3.2.1 were very buggy and both have been recalled. We do not recommend using either version; all customers using one of those versions for their server should immediately upgrade to 3.2.3 or later. So, whether your adapter is C++ or Java based, regardless of what 3.x version it is running on, it will work with the non-recalled GA repository servers.
- Repository clients (i.e. your SDK based application and TIBCO packaged adapters) will need the client library that matches the version they were compiled against. Each version of SDK is associated with a particular version of the repository client libraries and jar files (which are shipped with SDK) and must use those versions at runtime. This isn't a matrix, but a one-to-one correspondence.
- Since different adapters have been built with different versions of SDK, you may be forced to have multiple SDK versions and therefore multiple repository client versions installed on your machines.
