Resolution:
In SAP R/3 Release 4.6 - a Task supplied by SAP, can be used in SAP workflows. You can use SAP tasks in your own workflows and as models for your own tasks. From an adapter perspective the response will be the standard - if the Task configured in SAP results in an IDOC, BAPI/RFC invocation, the R3Adapter can be used for the interaction with SAP. On the other hand, if a customer wants the adapter to recognize workflow rules then that will require other AE components. SAP workflow can be an integral part of the TIB/AE workflow and business process automation facilities. (IC/ IM/ BPM).
