Description
Resolution: Extended properties are useful when there is configuration information that is in addition to the predefined attributes of a configuration object. In other words, when there is no standard support for a configuration attribute, an extended property for this object could be used.
For example:
- An extended property can store additional information for a publisher endpoint object; for instance, to specify whether this particular publisher should encrypt its messages.
- An extended property can store additional information for a Session object, for instance, to specify the ledger file directory separate from the file name.
