When hawk parameters are set to daemon 7500 and service to 7474 using the Domain Utility, you see the following problem in Designer: The deployment display has the 'Deploy' buttons greyed out when you choose processes to deploy.

Description
Resolution:
The problem is due to Designer attempting to start another rvd on tcp:7474. This cannot start since the rvd/rvrd is already bound to service 7474.
Solution is to add the following the the designer.tra file
java.property.rvDaemon tcp:7500
Now Designer only starts a single rvd, or if running on a box with rvrd all communication is done through this rvrd without the need to start an rvd.
Ensure you restart all the services and kill all reamining rvds before deploying the project.
