Resolution:
In order to schedule a batch when you start your GridServer Manager, you need to set the batch's ScheduleOnServerStartup property to true. To do this in the GridServer Administration Tool, on the Admin tab, select Batch Editor and in the Action control next to a Batch Job, select Edit Batch File. Set scheduleOnServerStartup to True.
