Description
Resolution: It is not enough for you just to change the "admin" password from Admin GUI. Please follow the following steps carefully to change the "admin" password ("admin" is the default system user for Administrator; you may have named it different during your installation but the idea is the same):
1) Login to Administrator GUI and change the password there. 2) Start domainutility, select "Show Advanced Tasks" and then "Change TIBCO Administration Domain credentials", then give the new password, which has to be the same as the one given in Step 1. 3) Set the the following value in the Administrator.properties file repo.securePassword = #<new_password> where <new_password> has to be exactly the same as given in Step 1 4) run <tra_home>/bin/obfuscate -propertyfile=administrator.properties, then examine this file to make sure the password has been obfuscated. 5) restart Administrator
Please note you have to perform the above actions while Administrator is running. If Administrator is down because you did not preform the above steps correctly, you have to start Administrator by disabling the security option, then you can perform the above steps. You can then re-enable the security option and restart Administrator.
