Description
Resolution:
In GridServer, there is a role-based access system for Administration Tool user accounts. In this system, users with "Configure" level access can see all Service Sessionss on the Service Session Admin page. However, users with "Manage", "Develop", or "View" level access are not configured by default to see any Service Sessions on the Service Session Admin page (except for test Services, which are always visible) and must be configured to see Service Sessions by username.
To configure a user account to view Service Sessions:
1. In the Administration Tool, click the Admin tab.
2. Select User Admin.
3. Find a user you want to edit, and select Edit User from the Actions menu next to that user.
4. In the Service Username Access Field, select one or more usernames. This user account will now be able to see Services submitted by Drivers that are using the selected usernames. You can also select all to configure this user to see all Service Sessions.
Note that you must configure all Drivers to use a username by editing the driver.properties file in the config directory of the GridServer SDK. If you don't, the Service's username will be the hostname of the Driver, and this won't appear in the User Edit page.
