Description
Resolution: When upgrading or modifying a BusinessConnect installation on Windows 2000 in which directory paths have been modified, the NT Services must be re-installed. To re-install NT Services, you must un-install the NT Services first before re-installing them using the script provided in the <bcInstallationDirectory>/tools/ntservice/scripts directory. Re-running the installation script will not update the NT Service correctly, as the script will detect the existence of the services in the directory and will not overwrite the existing service.
After uninstallation is complete, re-install the NT Services using the script provided. After the script finishes, check the installBcServices.log file in the <bcInstallationDirectory>/log directory. It should have entries that say that the service "DOES_NOT_EXIST" followed by "Service installed successfully". If it contains messages stating "Service already installed", the re-installation was not successful, and you should execute the uninstallation script and reboot the machine before re-installation.
