Resolution:
When installing a large number of Engines, the following error may occur in the Manager log:

03/21/05 09:46:58.101 Info: Turning HOSTNAME-3 away because it not currently allowed on any broker

This happens because by default, a Broker is configured with a Max Engines value of 500 for the purposes of Broker Sharing. If you will have more than 500 Engines per Broker, change this value.

To change the Max Engines value:

   1. Log in to the GridServer Administration Tool.
   2. Click the Manager tab, then click the Broker Admin page.
   3. If the Max Engines column is not already displayed (it is not displayed by default), select it from the Add Column list.
   4. Enter a new value in the Add Column value for your Broker, and press Enter.

Also note that licensing will affect the ability to run a large number of Engines on a Grid. To view the number of Engines supported by your Manager, click the Admin tab, then click the License Information page.

Engines turned away because they are not allowed on any Broker
