Description
Resolution: Improper installation of windows Engines, such as by copying an existing installation to many machines, can cause result in many Engines restarting when only one Engine requires an update. To avoid this problem, Engines should be installed either from the installation page or by using the Network Installation method described in the GridServer Installation Guide.
To correct on an existing installation, remove the .#dsDirID file on all Engines (for example, by means of a simple command service that invokes a batch file or shell script). The Engines will then re-create the files uniquely, as they would on a proper installation.
