Please turn up tsm_traceLevel from 7 to -1, then restart Hawk agent and HMA. Open tsm.log file and see if you continuously get the following warning:

2005 Sep 18 23:07:45:466 GMT -7 tsm Debug [] [TRA-000000] Thread TsmSyncInventory Waiting for a lock on a Vpd file

If yes, there is very likely a lock file being created from a previously unsuccessful installation and this lock file is preventing tsm in Hawk agent to open the vpd file which is required to get a list of the installed software. To fix this, go to &ltuser_home> directory and see if there is a file named: ".installerregistrylock". If yes, delete this file, restart Hawk agent and this should fix the problem.
