Resolution:
When using the remote application install function, it may fail with a log message similiar to the following in the Engine Daemon log:
10/26/05 14:30:49.939 Severe: EngineDaemon: PC1234-192.168.6.32: install error: Installing: register_app_beta_1_2_3.bat failed with reason - Unable to launch process
For Engines on some Windows systems, the remote application install function can only use an 8.3 file name for install_cmd in the dsinstall.conf file.
