Resolution:
Internally SmartSockets uses UTC which is not affected by DST. A change to DST has no impact on the functioning of the RTserver/RTclients or message delivery. If you have enabled RTserver/RTclient tracing (available in SmartSockets 6.X) then the hour in the log timestamp will be increased by one when the time change occurs.
Since user applications may have some dependency on time they may be affected by the DST time change. Since several OS and Java vendors are providing patches to address the change is DST time switch we recommend that you look at our Late Breaking News article LBN1-7TS0R5.
