Resolution:
Following are the steps to upgrade EMS 4.x versions:
1. Stop your EMS application(s).
2. Stop tibemsd and tibemsadmin,
3. Make a copy of all .conf files and .db files.
4. Uninstall the old EMS version
5. Install new EMS version.
6. Put back your .conf and .db files from step 3.
For more detail to install and uninstall EMS, please refer to: TIBCO Enterprise Message Service Installation guide. We strongly suggest our customers to use the same version of library as the server version.
As always, it is highly recommended to try these steps in a test environment before attempting them in a production set-up.
