Symptom:

When the connection parameters (User Name and Password) for the adapter design-time connection are specified as Global Variables, adapter throws below connection error.

AEADSBL-400035 Connection to Siebel Repository failed. [Startup Error.Unable to create a connection with the target application Siebel Server using connection parameters:userid = %%SiebeLoginName%%, Connect String = siebel.tcpip.none.zlib://. . .  . . ., Language parameter= , application error : SBL-SEC-10018: You have entered an invalid setof logon parameters. Please type in your logon parameters again.(SBL-DAT-00446)]

Impact:

Loss of functionality. This issue is particular to design time connection and works fine during the run time connection.

Workaround:

Enter the value of User Name  and Password under Design-time Connection tab instead of Global Variables.

The issue has been addressed in TIBCO Adapter for Siebel 5.3.1.
Symptoms:

Cause:

TIBCO Adapter for Siebel 5.3.0 does not accepts value for Design-time Connection Parameter "User Name" and "Password" from the Global Variables specified.
